The "AMERICANS" 442nd COMBAT TEAM is a quality reprint of the original 1946 Japanese-American unit history book complete with roster. Covers the 2d and 3rd Infantry Battalions and the famed 100th "Purple Heart" Infantry Battalion, plus the attached 232d Engineer Company and the 522d Field Artillery Battalion. Well illustrated.

Summary: This is the unit history of the famous 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Composed of Nisei (Japanese-Americans), they performed splendidly in campaigns in Central Italy, Southern France and finally the Po River campaign in Northern Italy during 1945. 1998 reprint of 1946 original edition done first by Infantry Journal Press. 8.5"x11" volume; 152 pages; 35 photos; 14 illustrations & maps.
