FIERCE PRIDE IN COUNTRY AND CORPS. --DVD VIDEO-- The Washington Marine Corps Barracks, at "8th and I" streets in Washington, DC, is the Corps' oldest post, established in 1801. It is home to the United States Marine Corps Band, the USMC Drum and Bugle Corps, the USMC Color Guard, and the USMC Silent Drill Platoon.
This video examines how Marines are selected for this elite assignment, how they train for the various ceremonial and highly public roles they perform, and the honor attached to the assignments.
From the grueling practice sessions of the world renowned Silent Drill Platoon to the intricate choreography of the Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, you'll be inspired by the ceremonial grandeur and military efficiency displayed by every Marine privileged to be assigned to the Oldest Post of the Corps.
If you have watched the Marines from the Corps' Oldest Post perform, you will want this video for a keepsake. If you have never watched their performances, you can experience the pride and the thrill of their performance on your own TV.
