The dramatice story of the 1st Brigade of the 101st Airborne as the fought a skilled an tenacious enemy from Spring 1965 through 1967. Covers most of the Screaming Eagles 14 combat operations in Vietnam, it includes Operations Harrison, Van Buren, Hawthorne, Pickett and John Paul Jones.

[2] STAY ALEAR, STAY ALIVE. The 101st Airborne Division had one of the best combat training programs for "Newbies" in Vietnam. This film shows the four phases of actual combat training in Vietnam with emphasis on weapons, claymores, patrols and ambushes. The same film used in Vietnam!

[3] AIRMOBILE OPERATIONS. In this tactical study, a typical infantry battalion conducts an airmobile search and destroy mission. This instructional program shows how the mission is planned, the key points to remember for both the attack and withdrawal phases, and how the use of artillery can protect the force.

[4] COMBAT IN THE EARLY DAYS 1965-66. Taken by U.S. Army combat photographers in '65 and early '66, these short films deal with a variety of combat operations in the delta, the coastal lowlands and the central highlands. Includes material on teh 1st Infantry Division, 1st Cavalry Division, th 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 101st Airborne Division.

Approximately 2 hours total. A video history of Americans in Vietnam featuring some of the most remarkable combat footage ever filmed. These exciting videos are so real you can almost smell the gunpowder, sweat and diesel fuel. The original films are from the U.S. government?s film archives. Some films were originally made to train replacement troops on what to expect in a combat situation and to build esprit de corps within the subject unit. A few segments may have slight color fading. This video series was created using only the highest quality duplication equipment and materials. Film quality varies from fair to excellent.
